I wonder why

You choose to hide

The bright flames 

That reside 

Inside.

Sometimes

You reside on an island.

You can be a mountain.

You can burn the world to flames.

You can encompass the horizons.

You can be a forest.

So, sometimes.

I wonder why.

Despite all that you find,

Why?

Why can’t you be the wind.

Why can’t you be all that you see?
